Freezing and unfreezing your account
How can I freeze my account?
- On a Xiaomi device, you can find the instructions on how to freeze your account in Settings > Xiaomi Account > Help.
- In a web browser, the instructions on how to freeze your account can be found in the "Need help?" section of id.mi.com.
- For security reasons, you need to verify your recovery phone and email before freezing your account. If you haven't yet added recovery info, check how to do it here and here.
How can I unfreeze my account?
- Using recovery phone or email
- On a Xiaomi device, go to Settings > Sign in to your Xiaomi Account and use one of the recovery methods to unfreeze your account.
- In a web browser, go to id.mi.com and use one of the recovery methods to unfreeze your account.
- If you don't have a recovery phone or email, reset your recovery info first.
